Local Committees

As per our Articles of Association and Scheme of Delegation, each school within HCAT has its own Local Committee (LC), which must have a minimum of 2 parent members.

Local Committees have powers and responsibility delegated to them by the Trust Board and from the Chief Executive Officer, so that those people closest to a school have the prerogative to govern effectively.

We strongly believe that excellent schools have excellent leadership and management from within, and a key component of this is governance. The Trust has a duty to ensure that it enables excellent leadership in each of our schools through empowerment and support.

You can view our governance structure including the board and it’s committees within our Terms of Reference and Scheme of Delegation.
